Skipwith United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women will meet on November 20 at 10 AM in the church social hall. We will finish making ornaments for the Angel Tree, decorate the tree and prepare Christmas cards to be sent to our shut-ins.

The Skipwith United Methodist Women coordinates and sponsors local and global Mission projects for our Church. Some examples include Operation Christmas Child and the Angel Tree. We meet as a unit quarterly. Our membership consists of 2 Circles (groups). The Betty Crane Circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (September-May) at 10:00 AM. The Susanna Wesley Circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (September – May) at 7:00 PM. Each Circle has mission projects and programs. We have a lot of fun and would love to have you join us.

The PURPOSE of United Methodist Women

The Purpose is adopted by the General Conference of The United Methodist Church as the official mission statement of United Methodist Women.

United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
